August Arnason teacher, in autumn 1897, went as a home teacher to Þorvaldseyri below Eyjafjoll. At end of month of Þorri in 1898 the home teacher became charman of one yearly boats owned by Þorvaldur who was farmer, and rowed out form Eyjafjallasandi. The ship was sixoars. i.e trachel rowing. Crew was from 12 to 14 people. Tale which he called normal row he wrote shortly before he diead and it was publihed in the magazine Blik in the year 1963.
