Whaling articles by Níels Einarsson

valas

Whaling is an argued issue that can be discussed from many different viewpoints. As a hot environmental topic it is constantly awakening new arguments both for and against whaling.

Níels Einarsson's paper A sea of images: fishers, whalers and environmentalists gives an insight to the environmental views and ethical values that Icelandic small scale fishermen and whalers have about the marine resources they exploit as their livelihood.

All animals are equal but some are cetaceans. Conservation and culture conflict is an article about images and experiences behind attitudes towards whaling as a moral issue, also by Níels Einarsson.
